Hydrocarbon extraction This class includes: - crude oil extraction; - production of liquefied hydrocarbons; - decantation and separation of light fractions; - liquefaction and regasification of natural gas, for transport purposes; - gas desulphurisation. This class also includes: - extraction of shales and bituminous sands; - oil extraction from shale and bituminous sands. This class excludes: - service activities incidental to oil and gas extraction, see 11.20; - processing of refined petroleum products, see 23.20; - recycling of liquefied petroleum gases obtained from oil refining, see 23.20; - transport through oil or gas pipelines, see 60.30; - prospecting works for the discovery of oil and gas deposits, as well as seismological surveys, see 74.20
